FAQs
Should I rent a car?
We highly recommend renting a car to get around the island, either from a rental car company or Turo. You are also welcome to use Uber or Lyft if you prefer not to drive.
how far are the resorts/camping from the wedding venue?
The furthest stay is Camp Olowalu, which is about 30 minutes from the chapel. The other resorts are 5 - 15 minutes away.
should I only book accommodations listed on your locations page?
No! These are just a few reasonable stays on the west side. You’re welcome to stay anywhere you like on the island, or check out the other side if you’re staying longer!
what should I wear to the wedding?
Beach formal, semi-formal, or cocktail attire. Think long, floral maxi dresses, non-denim pants and button up shirts, etc. Check out this Google search for a general idea. The weather is usually beautiful year-round on Maui, but feel free to bring a light jacket or shawl if you tend to get cold.
Will the wedding be outdoors?
While the weather is beautiful 99% of the time, there is a slightly higher chance of rain in February. We are planning to have the ceremony outdoors and the reception inside the chapel, but if it rains, we will move the ceremony indoors, so no worries!
what time should I arrive for the wedding?
Our ceremony starts at 4pm, so we recommend arriving by 3:30 to find parking and get seated comfortably.
where should I park?
There are a handful of parking spots directly in front of the venue, but they fill up quickly. There is a larger parking lot behind Sansei Seafood & Sushi, you can put that address into your map and it’s just a short walk down the way.
Can I bring a plus one?
We can only accommodate the invited guests noted on your invitation. However, we understand not everyone will be able to make it, so as the date approaches, you’re welcome to reach out to Julia, and we’ll see what we can do!
Are children allowed at the wedding?
While we would love to see your children at the welcome beach party and Slappy Cakes brunch, we are not able to accommodate any children for the wedding ceremony or reception. Please see information below for certified childcare providers should you require it
